Hit a monitor, now the verical lines are shifting.

I hit a monitor on its panel side and now the lines are shifting back and forth as if it is having a seizure. Should i try to hit it on the other side to knock it back into place, attempt to replace it, or?

For example, the mouse is showing up in pieces, 20% here skip a few lines there, there, there. I hope that makes sense. On top of everything not being in place it is additionally moving back and forth.
