Hit/Miss Best Answer Email Notifications

I'm noticing that email notifications for best answers aren't always sent or at the very least, I'm not receiving them. I do receive some, but there are also lots that I didn't. Not sure what's up with the wonky notifications system.

Is there a thread where you can show as an example that you received a Best Answer, but didn't get a notification that you had?

Hmm... I'm guess it's because it doesn't fall into the categories for a badge? Seems odd. I would like to know regardless so my Best Answer count doesn't randomly go up without me knowing about it.
