Hitachi CML174SXW - cutting corners?

Hi, newbie to the forum here.
Like some of you, I am interested in the new Hitachi CML174(SXW- added to model name in UK model).
However, I just noted in their website: www.hitachidigitalmedia.com, that the max supported colours for this is only 262K, rather than the usual 16.7M. What gives?
Is this a cost cutting exercise, or is this the reason for the fast response?

It is a typo on the Hitachi site. It support 16.7M colors
