Hitachi deskstar 320gb circuit board

Hi everybody i have joined the group so i hope someone can help me.
I have Hitachi 320gb deskstar and the circuit board is up the creek it looks like a couple of the ide pins are bend or broken, as soon as you switch the computer it trips the power.
i await your comments.

put the drive in the trash and buy a new one. if you have to have the data from the drive consult a data retrieval specialist to recover your data for you. (expensive)

If you can find the exact same model drive you can swap the controller board over easy enough but this does not mean the rest of the harddrive is any good.
