Hitachi hard disk hang during start

hello i have 500 GB Hitachi hard disk which hang up when i start the computer and i am unable even to go to the set up of the computer.

Is that fault repairable or not?

although i have bought 1 TB SATA HDD of Toshiba.

Hitachi's own diagnostic software "Drive Fitness Test" (CD image to make a bootable CD):

Make a CD from the CD image file using "ImgBurn" on any working computer: http://filehippo.com/download_imgburn

Then boot your faulty PC from that CD.
