The Ati people were somewhat satisfied that it would counter the Nvidia spinning logo promotions of late, as HL2 had been optimised to run on 9800's etc." . . . Until Valve release the HL2 benchmark (probably next month) we won't know for sure how well it will perform, but everything we hear right now is pointing towards an ATi coup. If true (and we'll bet our wellingtons on it), it will mean that the card of choice this Christmas will undoubtedly be ATi</b>

clever.
I think that this is a very good tactic to counter Nvidia's logo. Nvidia puts their stupid logo on all of these games coming out. ATI simply bundles Half-Life 2 with it's new card in time for the Christmas buying season. Hmmmmmmmm, let me think here for a sec........

yeah, using what dx9 or opengl 1.5 provides and about nothing more is optimizing for ati😀 actually its optimizing for "all cards that work the way its ment to be done" 😀

i'm SO interested how nvidia wants to get around the troubles that start to show up now. they where able to bash futuremark, as a small company. but can they bash valve, ea, and all the others? ...

there is no nvidia against tombraider bashing yet at least..
