HMA worked fine on my previous PC (Window 7), but in order to get it to work on my new Windows 10 PC, I hade to change the time/date to English.( tip from HMA-support)

Anyone else have the same experience? Any suggestions?

Anyone tried PIA VPN..? (with non-English-dateformat-setting)

yes if i was you i would look for a new vpn

if you are paying for it then it should work properly and if not support should be able to do better than telling you to set a time/date format that interferes with other things

i dont know what you specifically need from your vpn but suggest testing the free version of cyber ghost to see if it suits

i use the free version of it now and then with no issues and imagine the paid version is even better

It is the paid version. I had a look at VPN gate, but it doesn't suit my needs.

fair enough only other one i use is cyber ghost

but if you are paying for it then doesnt say much for their support if you end up here

is there any install-able part of it? ie not all done on the internet

if there is try installing in compatibility mode for windows 7

Yor're right about their support :-(

I'm not sure what you mean by an "installable part". I've been a computergeek since 1983, but I havn't seen that expression before..

Installation is not any problem. It installs just fine, and start just fine. the problem is if i click "Connect to VPN", with Windows dateformat set to Norwgian, this happen:

Software has to be downloaded and installed, and then log in.

ah thats usa time/date format what happens if you use uk time/format as think we are the same as norway

look on their website for an older version of the software it may be that the new version is the problem and not windows 10

and also check TAP-Windows Adapter V9 is ok in device manager--though that shouldnt really be the problem if changing time/date format makes it connect

other suggestions--make sure to run it as administrator

and if using 64bit windows see if there is a specific 64bit version rather than one that installs to program files x86 then alters the shortcut to redirect if you are using 64bit

It's a ton of English languagde format options, but none spesific for UK.
Anyway, I want Norwgeian settings. I have some special workprograms that are not true Windows-programs, and it seems like they struggle with any other setting than Norwegians.

Remember, HMA support say I MUST use "English (US)". They wouldn't say that if I could test out a lot of the other language settings...

I don't have any TAP-Windows Adapter V9 in the device manager, probably because I have uninstalled HMA.

The only (Windows)download they have, cover Windows 7, 8.1 & 10.

Thank you for all your valuable tip, but I think you/we can give up.... My initial hope/question was that someone else already had experienced the same as me, and had a solution.
