I'm trying to do a clean OS install. I partitioned and reformatted. I don't think the boot disk (tried win98se and winme) has the drivers for my generic 52x CD-ROM. I can't access my CD-ROM to install the OS. The OS cd is also not bootable. The info I can gather off the hardware itself is that the CD-ROM is made by Top Glory Electronics Co. Ltd from China. Anyone know where I can find some CD-ROM drivers that might work? I am in quite a bind here hehe.

I backup all my important CD's for OS and drivers. I keep the originals at home and the copies with me at my college apartment. This makes things a lot easier when I travel between the two locations and have to work on things. Well when I make the copies I also include a notepad file with the cd key on it. During the process, the new cd's I make are not bootable. Hmm.. I wonder if I swap out the CD-ROM for the one on another system... might work.
