I was guessing you were playing lots of UT2004, since I see you over in the
UT groups now. I've been playing lots of Onslaught in that game, sort of
like T2's conquest and hold but with the twist that you have to hold a
neighboring "power node" (and nodes going back to your "power core") before
you can attack the next one. The objective is to destroy the enemy's power
core while protecting your own.

I love the voice-overs after doing something special, like "Killing Spree"
or "Daredevil" (the latter when one does something stupid with a vehicle
and survives it).

Well, if you still want a game of that, visit:

Call of Duty, actually. Lovely game, with some great team action, even
though it's just a shooter.

Played some Knights of the Old Republic too (quite fun, the evil way),
and I played Splinter Cell 1. Both are single player, though, so that's
kind of a shame.

I was waiting for the glowing reports of varied gametypes in that. Instead
it appears to be a misnamed product. "Onslaught2004" should've been its
name. It also doesn't look good when anti-cheat mods are being released
for it so soon.

They're kinda my second home. *shrug*

Hmm... I have fond memories of T1 C&H games... multiteam games at that.

Yep. I have the demo.

.... and that's all I'll be having for now.

I read that they're trying to mod the T2 vehicles for Onslaught2K4. If
they could include a random UE generator while they're at it, then ingame
forums for lamers to infest and whine about the low framerates (not due to
their l33t Voodoo3 64MB PC100 Cyrix PC's obviously), the initiation will
be complete. Oh, and increase the personal scores to silly proportions,
just so that teamwork means less and less.

Semi-rant over. Yep, I've just had a game or two of T2... and I've not
missed it at all. :/

Still playing Asheron's Call 1. Supposedly, they will come out with an
updated graphics engine in the near future...hopefully, it won't be like
the Asheron's Call 2 travesty.

We just got a 6th character slot so I've created a UA character and I'm
running around punching critters.

I stopped playing computer games. They are bad.

You still play Usenet, don't you?

I actually haven't fired up a game in almost 3 weeks. I just haven't
felt the urge.

Personally I'm being impressed by the quality of these free games being
developed for Linux. I've just installed "Foobilliards":
http://www.geocities.com/moreduffstuff/images/pool.jpg

The screenshot isn't much, but the game has raytracing, bumpmapping and
pretty good ingame physics. See also:
http://foobillard.sunsite.dk/

Then there's "Scorched Earth 3D":
http://www.scorched3d.co.uk/

.... and so on. Thankfully, developers of such games are realising that we
don't need any more penguin-based "eat/kill/maim/shaft Microsoft icons"
games.

Mainly BF 1942 - in a clan for vanilla called BBK

Other than that, Desert Combat and Forgotten hope (mods for 42) along with
occasional BF: Vietnam.

Far Cry had pride of place for a couple of weeks when released, as did Star
Wars: KOTOR.

Deus Ex Invisible War provided opportunity for a weekend's diversion and
also to pour scorn on a sold out Dev.

That's it.
