Hoe do I remove incomplete OS install

I have WIndows XP Pro on my system I tried to reinstall over teh existing OS and stopped it during the process when I realized I goofed
Now when I boot the computer on I have to choose which OS to use but only one will work.
How can I safely remove the second failed OS install
The HDD is one single partition and I cant see anything in explorer out of the ordinary.

Why would you install an OS on top of your OS???

You always do a format and fresh install.

As I stated I goofed
