HOF vs Founders Edition

I'm building a pc and really don't know much, just curious what the differences are between the Galax Geforce GTX 1070 vs the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Founders Edition, besides size and looks. From what I've read the Galax Geforce GTX 1070 is better, so why would someone buy the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Founders Edition if both cost about the same???

The founders edition was the first card on the market.

Its a good card for situations where a blower style card makes more sense - ITX builds, compact sli builds.

For a mid/full tower the HOF is surely better.
