Is this normal? Never got such issue before in any other game. I closed everything at background, Steam running because I purchased the game on Steam, without it, cannot be launch the game. I got this usage Kings Crossing main hall of the hogwarts castle.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I did read this specific game have memory leak problem,

Does this can crash my PC? aka blue screen?

Solution
Your system barely meets minimum requirements for the game. It's quite far from recommended specs.
You can't expect much.

Upgrade your system. Mainly graphics card.
Upgrading ram to 32GB may help eliminating stutters.

They are well above the minimum requirements, for CPU and GPU, for 720p low, and not all that far below recommended for 1080p high. I had to find the specs elsewhere. Work blocks gaming sites.

A 1660s is quite a bit faster than a GTX 960, or 470, and a 3600 is quite a bit better than an i5 6600, or i5 1400. For 720p...
This game is VERY demanding on the GPU. Provide FULL and complete PC specs. Which GPU are you using ?

The game requires a lot of VRAM, especially when using its Ultra Textures. Since it offers a setting to reduce them, I highly recommend lowering it in case you own a GPU with less than 12GB of VRAM.

Are you also using any RAY TRACING settings enabled as well ? RT also eats up a LOT of VRAM especially in this game. Disable them for the time being. Also, since Hogwarts Legacy supports DLSS 3, I recommend using it, assuming you have a compatible RTX 40 series GPU.

With DLSS 3, we can reduce the DX12 driver overhead, and improve overall performance.

Edit: Did you mean system RAM or GPU's VRAM ?

Mid end system: Ryzen 5 3600,GTX 1660 Super 6GB,16GB RAM,Windows 10,Game installed on a HDD with empty space in it.

Pretty much everything is in low (in game graphics) except foliage quality set to high. 720p, 20fps, I run all my games in 20fps to reduce the heat on hardware. I'm pretty much a paranoid about my hardware so feel free to skip questions about temperature. I use AMD FSR 2 Performance Mode, (not ultra performance) ı do not use ray Tracing I believe its a marketing gimmick.

I have a NVIDIA GPU as writed above however it's seems my GPU does not support the DLSS and I do not see option in game, so I use AMD one.

I also noticed there is no real difference between Low and High setting in Texture Quality, in fact lowering this to Low helped stutters a bit in loading doors.

Can I get blue screen of a PC crash if I reach %100 RAM usage? How Windows 10 behaviour in this? If you can share some insight about this will be much appreciated,

Recommended/High indicates my CPU ryzen 5 3600.
Minimum GPU is 4GB, mine is 6GB.
GPU is too weak. Amount of vram is not the deciding factor there. Gpu performance level is.
"Upgrade your system. Mainly graphics card."
Not going to happen.
Then running this game on your pc with acceptable performance is not going to happen either.
Return the game and get a refund.

"720p" "20fps". You're a different breed. I give you props! I got a headache just reading those numbers. Lol

It's not just you.

How did you determine that the game is using 97% of the ram?

Windows task manager keeps unused code in ram in anticipation of fast reuse.
That does not mean that all the contents are actively used.

In task manager, open resource monitor/memory tab.
Look at the column called hard fault page rate.
It should be zero or close to it.
A hard fault happens when windows needs some code that is not in ram and has to swap out some other code. This is an expensive process and will stop the game while it happens.

Solution
I was born in 1978 and am highly interested in resolution and framerate. These things have always mattered; it sure as hell made a lot of difference in Pirates! and King's Quest if your Intel 8088 was running at 4.77 MHz or like 8 MHz turbo. Since games had a graphical component, there has never been a time when things were a binary "runs/doesn't run" issue.

So how is this game anyway? 42 year old husband father of two who never once read or cared about anything Harry Potter but I’ve been gaming since forever and rpgs of that style are definitely my thing.

Worth it?

PROBLEM SOLVED

They released a patch yesterday, RAM USAGE reduces itself overtime playing, at first it will be around %97 etc but as you play it will down to even %70s. Just tested this myself today with my "barely minimum" computer. Runs like a hot cake.

As for in game graphics, they do not matter, especially Texture Quality, even in low game looks awesome and detailed.

Taxing settings are population quality and view distance. Lowering this will help alot.

EDIT: Enabling RT may still cause "out of memory" though, there is lots people having problems with RT , I did not tested this as I do not care about RT, feel free to post your own results here,

EDIT2: I also play this with my backup PC, which have 4GB VRAM and an Intel 4th gen CPU 4 core 8 HT, of course in low settings just like this one. If anyone interested about this, I will post that results here as well soon.

UPDATE on this game RAM USAGE:

Upscale Methods results in different behaviours, in game option upscaling method provides Intel XeSS regardless if you own Intel GPU or not, I noticed SUDDEN drop in RAM usage (from task manager view) when I switched to Intel XeSS. Freezing 2-3 seconds to adjust RAM things I guess and then guess what: RAM reduced to %92 from %98, after a loading screen , it dropped even further to %70'ish. Previous game update also helped.

People need to investigate and trial/error more often than posting useless junk on Steam forums. More tech becomes easier, more lazy people become.
