Alright guys this is my second thread( the first one taught me more in 2 days than the last 2 years).

After getting help from the community om deciding between building my own gaming rig or buying alienware(how naive I was), I decided to build!

So here goes my option:

cpu: intel 3570k
graphics card: gigabyte nvidia gtx 670
Motherboard:ASRock z77 extreme 4
SSD:crucial m4 128 GB
HDD:seagate barracuda 2TB
Tower:NZXT Crafted series phantom 410
Memory: patriot viper 3
Psu: corsair enthusiast 750w
optical drive: asus lite dvd writer
Os: windows 8
All together here in Holland, 1258€ ( cheaper than alienware aurora and better parts and specs)

I would like to ask you though, do you see any flaws in the setup? Do you think there will be any compatibility issues? or could I improve somehow?

This is gonna be my first home built computer so Im a bit scared that it wont work when I press the power button xD

I will also be using a logitech g9x, a roccat keyboard and a 24 inch monitor from philips.

thanks dude,but I already found the parts here in Holland its all in euroa and unfortunately, due to taxes, the prices are higher.

What I was looking for was feedback on the parts I picked to buy. for exa.ple, are they compatible? any better options? that kind of things

Hi, I'm from Greece and was searching for similar hardware here to upgrade. It's the same here, the prices are the same in euros as can be found in $ due to taxes as you say. We really pay a lot more in Europe than they do in the US.. I you dont mind that 1300 eu is a good sum to build a new gaming rig.
As far as advice, I think an ssd IS essential, dont really think you need 32gb of ram and I dont see any compatibility issues, just the fact that if you plan to use Win8 then the asrock m/b needs a manual bios update from what I've read. Also you might want to use an antistatic wrist band while building, and if you cant, before touching sensitive hardware touch something metal (ex. chassis)

Oh maybe I put the wrong ram, im only using a 8gb ssd3. and what do you mean with manual bios? I hought maybe the Asrock was compatible with win8 =\

I mean that it might require a bios update, that you have to perform manually. I wouldn't sweat on it, its fully compatible with windows 8.

Just to make sure on the RAM its gotta be DDR3 1600mhz @1.5v any more than that and you have a chance of destroying your CPU

Dont get the heatspreads on the RAM either they are just for show and have a chance in getting in the way of the stock and aftermarket coolers
