Greetings and Salutations!

I am looking for a (ergonomic) chair that promotes good posture while sitting at my desk to:

▪︎Play games on my computer (3-5 hour long sessions)
▪︎General computer work (up to 2 hours)
▪︎Boardgames (Up to 6 hours)
▪︎I also sit in my chair quite often when listening to music, thinking, typing messages on mobile throughout the day.

Most important for me is a chair that:
▪︎Promotes/supports good posture
▪︎Is extremely comfortable to sit in for long hours of gaming or just relaxing (sometime I sit cross legged on the chair).

Head rest would be nice that I can recline in.

I have a Kinsal gaming chair at present and don't find that comfortable at all. So thinking an office chair will be a better fit than a gaming chair as I want to support and comfort for a variety of task rarther than just gaming.

Based in UK.
Budget: happy to spend on the chair, don't mind paying slightly higher for a brand as long as the design, functionality, material and support justify the additional cost.

Grateful for your suggestions

Thanks

Here in the U.S. the people at the New York Times think highly of these chairs:

Don't know if these are sold in the U.K. or what their price would be there.

Canadian here, I have a Markus office chair from IKEA. It's very nice to sit in, mesh back is pretty comfortable, the chair can lean so you can partially recline as well. Only downsides are that the headrest and armrests can't be adjusted and the Lumbar is pretty difficult to adjust, but you can do it. I can sit in this thing all day for work, and it's great for when I'm gaming in the evenings.

I got mine open box, so I'm not sure how much it will cost you in the UK unfortunately.

Comfy IKEA Chair:
