I just got a new PC with XP Home Edition installed on it. Other than the
hardware drivers, there is very little else installed on it. I also bought
Windows XP Professional. Can someone please tell me the best method to
upgrade the XP Home to Professional? Thank you.

Boot from the XP Pro CD and upgrade the Home version.

When I boot from the XP Pro CD, it wants to delete what is there and install
Pro. I don't see an option for upgrading Home Edition to Pro. Thanks for
any advice.

If the XP Pro cd did not cost you too much, in all likelihood, you have
bought an OEM version.. these can be used for clean install only..
