Hey PC addicts,
I would like to ask if it is possible to create a new partition from your hard drive and allow local sharing or something which I could use to store my data from multiple devices on the same network.. Is there any software required or how could I set it up...? Thanks

Solution
Yes, Win 10 has that option.
And it is pretty much that easy.
You can specify certain people, but for your internal LAN, 'Everyone' works as well.

If desired, you can set Read only, or Read/Write...

Oh...you'll have to turn on Network Discovery, to allow the other devices to see it.
On those other devices, you can even map a drive letter to that specific shared folder.

For instance...a folder with Movies in it.
The other system might have a drive letter 'M' mapped to it.
Shows up in Windows Explorer as just another drive letter.

So is that it? Is it that simple? Well I'm using Windows 10 Home which should definitely have this option but will anyone else have the access to add to the folder?? Also do I only set who is able to see it??
