I am about to start a network cabinet with a couple switches and router etc. With this, I need some advice deciding what components to put in there to get the most out of it.

Here are my main goals:
1) We have two desktop computers and a laptop that I want to be able to backup and share/access
2) We have 4k smart TVs in 4 rooms and I want to be able to access all of our movies and music and photos from there and even at the same time. I do a lot of gaming and would really like to maybe even be able to have guests on the different TVs playing together.
3) We use kodi, netflix, and other apps a lot so I would really like smooth performance with those at each tv
4) All of the above, with stable and smooth 4k

I have built several gaming PCs but have never done a NAS or any serious networking. I started with a 24 port gigabit netgear switch and have cat6 going to each room for TVs, gaming systems, computers, etc. I have a netgear nighthawk R7000 router. I am drawing my network cabinet now so it can be as big as it needs it to be. I dont really have a set budget right now either because I can save and get things as I need to. My thoughts were: I could build a higher end HTPC for the living room...I can either buy or build a NAS for the shared media....maybe Nvidia shields for the other three TVs so that we can use kodi and play games? Thoughts?

I'm not sure if all of this is necessary. I think the HTPC is a good idea because Im also playing around with emulators and with gaming there that would be cool. Im also not sure if it would be better to buy a NAS enclosure or to try and build something. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Solution
Several thoughts.

Cooling. Make sure you have sufficient ventilation.
UPS. Get a good one. A used commercial rack mount, sold without batteries is a good choice.
WIFI. Don't rely on the R7000 for all your WIFI. If you have wired connectivity to the rest of the house put in WIFI access points. Ubiquiti are great.
Labels. Label every cable and every port. Post a wiring diagram with port numbers and cable numbers.
NAS. Buy a commercial NAS, IMO. Synology, Thecus, QNAP, Asustor. They do it right and are plug-and play.
