home networking problems with device setup

in my home network i have xfinity 1gb service. i have the xfinity coax cable going into my netgear docsis 3.1 cable modem. from there coming out going into my netgear 8 port switch (gs108 auto uplink) and then going into a 1gb zyxel av1300 powerline adapter. i have the other powerline adapter going in the living room where i want to relocate my asus ac1200 wifi router but when i plug into the internet port, the wifi router does not work. am i able to run the devices like this to relocate my wifi for a more centralized broadcast...

The router should be connected to the cable modem directly for it to function properly. The switch and powerline adapters would then connect to the router LAN ports, if still needed.

Yes, you can use a second router as an access point or even a range extender.
