Home office computer - I am happy with G3258 Pentium. What's wrong with me?

Hi guys.

I have a strange question. I work at home, mostly browsing with 100+ tabs, Excel, simple image editing in Photoshop, local web server for Joomla etc. I am running now G3258 with 12Gb RAM. Sometimes my CPU is OC @4.5, sometimes not. I noticed that I never run out of the CPU, it never gets loaded for more than 2-4 seconds for 100%. I have a chance now to trade it for free for I5-6600K@4500 and gamer's MB, but I wonder if it would change anything to me, except 5 hours of my time wasted (?) to set up the new system.

Also, whenever I read threads guys asking for new office computer and "gurus" telling them to get at least i5, because i3 is way not enough - guys, what are you doing with your computer or have you ever watched the CPU load?

Thank you and best wishes to everyone!

If your system is working to your satisfaction, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. No reason to change.

Buying new, an i5 would be recommended.

My wifes system has a Pentium of 2 generations older than yours. Only now it is getting ready for a rebuild.
Probably with a i3-7100 and 8GB RAM.

Thank you for an honest answer. I just feel awkward when I see that millions of users (and companies) are buying i3 and i5 for office and home, though 99% could be happy with cheapest Pentiums. A friend of mine recently bought about 50 new PC's with i7 for his office. It is just such a waste of money.

Ok, I have my questions answered. Thank you all so much. :)

BTW, genius picture in your signature. Also, it would be much better if people would spend wasted money on CPU's for an extra HDD for backups. :)
