My neighbor wants me to build her a computer just for average use(no gaming). Would this build be able to handle everything and will everything work together?

I also saw these messages on PCPartPicker, are they ok?

Some Intel H81 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Haswell Refresh CPUs.
Thermaltake Versa H15 MicroATX Mid Tower Case has front panel USB 3.0 ports, but the MSI H81M-P33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard does not have onboard USB 3.0 headers.

Solution
If your neighbor has the OS in hand, and how about the newer gen skylate PC. Otherwise may just buy the pre-build OEM PC.

Ok, so I've been looking at the build and is this everything I would need to build it? Does the cpu come with a cooler and thermal paste? And also I noticed the motherboard has a DVI-D and her monitor(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009409) has "Connectors
D-Sub, DVI" would this still work?

The G4400 does come with the intel stock cooler, and thermal paste.

For the monitor cable, both the MB and monitor have the same DVD-D port, so you have to use the the DVI-D cable, because the monitor does not have the HDMI, and the MB does not have the D-Sub port.
Keep in mind, the DVI-D can only pass the digital signal, and the D-Sub only can pass the analog signal. So the passive DVI-to-VGA will not work with a DVI-D output.

honestly for home use it is going to be hard to beat price wise what you can find at bestbuy on sale. you might be able to beat price slightly but its so easy to just walk in the store, buy it, and plug it into the wall.... with an easy warranty.

otherwise, my personal stab at it.... get the asrock deskmini 110 for $150. the deskmini is very tiny, roughly 6" x 6" x 3".

put an i3-6100 in it with a 240gb ssd and 4-8gb of sodimm ddr4 for another $200. windows 10 will cost you another $100.

thats a total of $450 but not including a monitor or mouse/keyboard. otherwise as a basic build....

another option is to get a skylake i3 based laptop on sale for about $300-350, buy a mouse and keyboard combo for $20-30, and a basic 23" 1080p monitor for $100 and have a dual purpose setup for a total of about $420-480.

of course after any prebuild option you should do a clean windows install to wipe any bs performance stealing junk preinstalled.

I'm a bit confused, so if I use a DVI-D cable, everything will be ok?

Yes.
