I am looking to build a new Home Server for under $2000, I have put together a build and wanted to run it past the community to confirm I had the best parts. I am a little concern about the MOBO, please let me know if I should go with different MOBO and RAM.
The server will mainly be used for File Sharing and Plex. I will also use it to rip movies and bittorrent. And I may do a Teamspeak server on it as well. Are there any other services I should look at?
Also I am wondering about the OS, I currently plan on getting Wins 10 Pro for the Storage Pool feature, and also I am most familar with that OS. I can get my hands on Windows Server if need, please let me know if I should go this way or with another OS.
On a side note, I am wondering if I get a MOBO with dual LAN, can I have one connected to my VPN and the other only LAN? If so how?
I appreciate any advice you can offer me.
