Hey Guys,
I'm just getting round to building my home server next month. I've built up a list of parts but I wanted your guys opinion as I'm not sure wether I am going overkill with the parts for what I want the server to be doing.
Alright so the server requirements are;
CPU Intel Core i3-4150 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor[3] £84.12 @ Aria PC
Motherboard MSI H81I Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard[4] £47.77 @ Scan.co.uk
Memory Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory[5] £21.99 @ Amazon UK
Storage Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive[6] £56.34 @ Aria PC
Case BitFenix Prodigy (Black) Mini ITX Tower Case[7] £59.94 @ Aria PC
Power Supply Corsair CX 430W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply[8] £41.94 @ Amazon UK
Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts
Total £312.10

If anyone has any recommendations for parts that will do the job and save me some money I'm all for it
Also should I be looking at getting some more storage for raid?
Has anyone got any experience with linux servers and setting up multiple drives as one big drive/space on the os?
Cheers
