Homebuilt PC crashing

I have a PC I built myself, midrange parts. I haven't had any problems with it until now, where everything on my computer freezes, followed by rapid screen tearing and the entire PC shutting down without warning. I suspect a software problem, but I don't know how to check. And considering this is my first build, I might have done something very wrong, yet it has run fine for almost two years now.

Could you post your system specs.

Could be a few things, bad PSU, graphics card failing or thermals.
