Homebuilt PC Not Turning On

I've built other PCs just this year, but today I built a new one for my uncle and it simple will not turn on. I have the power button plugged into the right place on the mobo and the power supply is fully connected to the PC. Despite this, when I try to turn it on, nothing happens. Nothing at all. I can not pinpoint a specific issue because everything is in order hardware wise, at least it appears to be that way, but the computer is just a brick. My main PC is plugged into the same power strip so it is not a problem with the outlet.

I need some information on where to start my search for what could be causing this issue, because I'm losing my mind here.

You can test the PSU with a paper clip, or use eg. the paper clip to short the motherboard leads that turn the computer on - that would reveal an error in the front panel power button itself (it can happen).

Just be sure you know exactly which leads to short.

Try another PSU.

I get what you mean, but would I then be in danger of burning out the motherboard? I'm assuming it's either an issue with the PSU or motherboard considering otherwise at least fans should be turning out. The PSU is the Corsair CX430 and the mobo is a MSI FM2 Micro-Atx mobo.

So I did the test with the paperclip and I can confirm the PSU is working. That leaves the motherboard. Crap. Well, thanks for the help guys, I'm gonna go take apart the PC and rebuild it lol.
