Homemade cnc router and engraver

Hi, just wondering, i want to build my own cnc router and cnc engraver, to build a couple of projects, mostly a watercooled raspberry pi and engrave an pcb board, but in not aure weather to build them, as its only a one time use. What does the commuity think would like some ideas, weather i should build it and build other stuff just na.

For a couple of one time projects I would outsource to a machine shop or pc customization type outfit. Someplace like mnpctech (or see if they know of someone reputable closer to you). Unless money is no object, the cnc portion not even factored in the cost of the machinery alone would be pretty high if you don't already have the router/engraver power drive and bits needed for such detailed work.

Not even sure how you'd go about setting them up and tying them to a computer to drive them. Cnc are preset with a program interface and designed with various carriers to be able to move in all the required positions. I've used cnc machines but nothing that fine of detail and never thought to try and engineer one from scratch. Looking at a...

You could get some fancy 1 run machine work done for a lot less than that.
