New to making a PC, Installed the motherboard, Ram, SSD, HD, Cooling Fan, and CPU. Made sure every cable I have is pugged in. I turn it on, boom green light under PWR_LED and nothing else. I hit the power button and a light flashes for a spilt second on the cooler head, but thats it.

Specs:

i7 core unlocked
H100i V2 Corsair w/ the two fans
SanDisk SSD Ultra 2
WD HDD 1TB
Z170-e Asus Motherboard
and the case is S340 NZXT

It looks like your ram is improperly installed, you have 2 dimms in one channel when you want 1 dimm in each channel. [strike]If it is slot A1 that is unoccupied that could be causing the issue. [/strike]

I looked at the picture again, Slot A1 is occupied, so I am surprised you are not getting to post. You do want to move the stick in A2 to B1, which will double your ram speeds and possibly fix the problem.

Check the CPU Motherboard and Memory to ensure they are all compatible -> should be a document on ASUS website listing validated components.

If correcting the ram configuration doesn't solve your issue disconnect the HDD, SSD and 1 of the ram sticks and try again. Problem is most likely related to the cpu, memory or motherboard. My main focus would be on ensuring that the memory is DDR4. Also worth trying 1 memory stick at a time in slot A1 to rule out bad ram.

May be worth trying a reseat on the cpu and memory.

I put the ram in the right spot, attempted a power on and nothing, took one out unplugged the HD and SSD and still nothing. I just unplugged everything and replugged it back in. Nothing, still just a green light.
