Homeplugs don't work when my computer turns on

Hello
In my house all of our computers are connected to homeplugs. At the weekend, they all stopped working. After many unsuccessful diagnoses and much frustration, we have worked out why it's not working. But only to a certain extent. All the homplugs work perfectly until my computer turns on. Then everything is messed up until I turn it off again.

What is the fix?
Thanks

We have tried all of the other homepplugs with my computer, but none of them work. The computer is definitely the problem, not the homeplug. All of the LEDs are showing correct functions, but none of the homeplugs are working.

Does this happen just because you power the machine on or does it only happen when you have the ethernet cable connected to the homeplug.

If it is the second I would be suspect your pc is somehow taking the router ip. Try to manually set all the ip parameter statically.

If your problem happens when the pc is powered on even not connected then you likely have a power supply problem in the PC that is not bad enough to cause the PC issues but is enough to cause interference with your power network. This is a very common issue with powerline equipment. Sometime one thing in your house can mess everything up. A vacuum cleaner tends to great job of wiping out these devices.

If you have a power strip plug the PC into it. It filter in both diections so it may help. A extension cord on the offending device (ie the pc) sometime will resolve this too.

You could try replacing the power supply/adapter in the PC but that would be kinda of a desperate thing to try.

The homeplugs are all plugged directly into the wall, and the computer is through an extension cable. Even without the homeplug for my pc plugged in, but the network goes haywire whenever the computer powers on. It seems interesting that when I plug the computer into an extension cable from a socket far away, the network just about survives. Disabling the DHCP didn't work either, so I don't know what to do.
