Honest Opinion on my First Build Intel or AMD

I'm new here and have been researching alot about building PC's. I will be using this PC for light gaming (AA) titles and 1080p video editing as well as CAD. I know the PC may not be capable of this with the current components but I made sure I can upgrade the CPU to an i5 or i7 and add an RX460-470 later on. I will be using the Integrated Graphics for a while. I am also open to completely changing to AMD components but it will have to be Ryzen only. If I do, I have my eyes set on the 6 core 1400x and know I will have to buy an AM4+ Mobo. The only reason I didn't go that way is due to the low budget.

I managed to keep this build under $400 though I am still waiting on the PSU, CPU, extra case fan, and SSD. I am looking for an honest answer and any advise. Am I going in the right direction for this build?

Thanks for the reply. I already have Windows 10 on a bootable USB ready to be installed. I am deciding on a GTX 1050 or an RX 460-470. I see that you recommended a different mobo. Why is that? Also the total price nears $600 which is way over my budget at my current situation. I am looking to invest the extra $200 on the GPU and better CPU if needed. $100 on the Video card and $100 + what I get from selling the pentium for a better CPU. What do you think? I do have an extra HDD for added storage.

I think youve done alright for $400 personally.
You'll get by with the igp for the time being.
I'd have bought a better quality PSU but the evga is passable

Basically all of them. I am just waiting on Shipping from the rest of the parts. I got a deal on basically all of the parts. What I am looking for is advise on whether or not this is going to work in terms of future upgradeability, quality components and good solid starting point for what I will be doing (light gaming,Video editing etc). Is this a good build? My budget was $400 and I managed to spend less than that. I want to spend an extra $200-$250 later on but am good with no GPU for now.

Thanks will take the PSU matter in mind. In your opinion, could I have done a better build with $400 including a VR Ready MOBO a quad core or at least hyperthreaded CPU and Monitor that would allow me to do 1080p editing, CAD and light gaming? I was originally going for AMD FX 8350 with an AM3 MOBO but the components seemed outdated especially with Ryzen now out, which is also why I am open to the possibility of changing to Ryzen later on instead of Upgrading the Intel CPU, though it would be a little more expensive but still a solid performer under $800 right?

Ohh ok. I think then what you have is ok for now. You can go upto the i7-7700 when you choose to upgrade. Maybe after 2 yrs or so it will be a good upgrade. As stated madmatt, the psu could be better. Return it if you still have that option and get the one listed in my build. Also with $200, i would suggest the rx470 8gb or the rx480 4gb.

If you've got less than $400 to spend then in all honesty the g4560 is always going to be your one & only practical choice.

Under $400 with a monitor included ?? No , I don't think you could have done better really.
