Hooking up an external monitor to an ASUS Memopad 7 tablet

Ok, I know I can hook up my ASUS tablet to a external monitor to watch movies on a bigger screen - BUT - can I do it the opposite way? Like whatever is on the monitor to display on my tablet?

I'm an ATM repair technician, and I have to carry a monitor around with me so I can work on them. Since I carry my tablet around, if there was a way for whatever is on the ATM monitor to be displayed on my tablet, that would be so sweet.

Is there a way? I'm assuming there isn't. From my tablet to the "PC" I've seen many adapters, but not from the "PC" to the tablet. Correct?

You may be able to use something like a VNC but other than that, I can't think of any method that doesn't involve HIGHLY complicated upgrades and custom boards .
