Question Hooking up an old monitor...

I am attempting to add a second monitor to my display. However, this monitor is fairly old and i do not have a supported power supply cable. would this cable provide power to my monitor, providing it fits?

Your monitor should have a label on it specifying input voltages, and power rating. The adapter you've listed is usually used on external hard-disk enclosures, monitors usually go with single voltage adapter.

What is the model and make of that monitor? Can you post a picture of the power entry?

The monitor is the ViewSonic VX2000
The voltage says it is 12v
the input port on the monitor looks like the female ends of these adapters:
