Hooking up

I am looking for an adapter to hook up my dell Monator to my gateway tower

Presumably the monitor is a new one with a digital video connector and the Gateway only has VGA-type ? Or is it the other way round ?

Supply that info and, meanwhile, look for a VGA socket on the monitor/video adapter -- they often have both.
