I'm new to this newsgroup.
The first post I saw here was "Is this Group Dead??".
I read alt.games.morrowind DAILY...several times a day in fact.
I really enjoy ElderScrolls III (BloodMoon and Tribunal also).
I would hope that, instead of dead, everyone has just take a short heitous.
Perhaps they'll return when Oblivion is released.
Rather, they'll probably be on some channel like alt.games.oblivion or the
like.
In any case, I'd like to see more traffic here.
I'd really enjoy having another group to read on such a wonderful game.

Well, I'm off to the real world for now.

I heard bout alt morrowind ..but my server no has it ...I c it via Google
groups ...but thats not easy to read...

LETS talk bout (Hmmmm ...tinks ??) ...Wizards Island ..mod....big (very)
....quests ...new detailed landmass ,,,,its FINISHED (yes really!)...a big
user made mod-game & they acturely finised it !! ...(Tamil Rebuilt
.....Silgrad Tower....will never ever be done ???) ..
So W.Island is beatifully done .....but very tough ...need level 10 +..I've
bin cheating to get anywhere ....console get 300 points health...& there
still wasps very early in the game that take me out..Id say it was an
Adventure-Puzzle type game much more than the official ES 3 games...
BUT av a look its a whole new game for Morrowind

I just started reading about Wizard's Isle. Honestly, I don't know much
about it other than it's supposed to be one of the biggest (not to mention
best) mods out there. Was thinking about installing it, but I still have
quite a bit of 'normal' Morrowind to get through.

Is it really that nice of a Mod? everyone seems sold on it.

HI !!! Wizards Island is an entirly seperate/new game from 'normal'
morrowind....I have installed it in a seperate copy of of MW on my Hd....u
can make a copy of your Morrowind folder (all of it) to any drive letter
folder name u like and click on the laucher in the new copy to play intirely
away seperate from your original....
except for the start of Wizards Isl. your not playing on the main MW lands
at all.....It really does need a tough lev. 10+ char to get anywhere
though..

I might have to try WI out....I've heard lotsa good about it.
I have a Dell laptop...I might try it on that...

What's so much different/good about it compared to Morrowind?
