So last night I bought a samsung series 3 300 21.5" monitor and the picture has a black bar at the top and the left. I went into the amd catalyst control center and set the overscaling to 0% (when I first plugged it in it was a lot worse with the black bars) but they are still there. It's hooked up via hdmi, tried it with a dvi to vga adapter (think that's what it's called) and had the same problem. The monitor wont even use the auto function with hdmi, did with vga and still nothing. Any ideas? I can live with the black bars but I would rather not have to. It's a 1920x1080 native and that''s what it's set to.
*I should note the the onscreen menu for the monitor can display over the black bars so not an issue where those ares of the screen are just blank I think*
