I recently put together a pc and wanted to make sure the mother board was working correctly so I powerd it on without ram and a graphics card I noticed the dbug light for my cpu and ram were on and a solid white led.. would not having ram installed make a cpu light come on ?

"CPU" LED lilkely comes on with most issues but, without RAM, it's pure guesswork.

If the light is still on once you install RAM, try reseating the CPU & looking for any bent pins.
