Good Morning. I recently upgraded my internet to -5g? Anyway, it keeps dropping and I know the internet company (Spectrum) doesn't believe me. So, I'm looking for a little program that will track every time my internet goes out. Is there anything like that? It sort of has to run on it's own because I'm not tech savvy at all any more.
Thanks so much!

A simple one is ping.
Start or search bar
type in CMD
Right click command prompt.
select Run as Administrator.
in the CMD window type" ping 8.8.8.8 -t " and hit enter.
I used google's DNS server address for an example. Instead of 8.8.8.8 put in your ISP (spectrum's) DNS server number.
Technically they are correct in saying your service is up.
But it is no good if their DNS servers are down or overloaded .

The only way to blame your ISP is to use a WIRED connection to your router. WIFI is too unreliable.
