Yes. Have you updated to the latest version? That fixed the problem for
me.

Yes I Your game version is: 1.62.8037 English
but I get this error when I tried to do the regular update

Can not find patch file:
/neverwinternights/nwn_x2_english_from1628037_to1628047.md5
Attempting to restore game version information.
Get the critical rebuild.

1.62 is the latest. You might try downloading the critical rebuild and
manually installing it. I had to do that on one of my early installs.
After that it worked fine.

Hi there
I was also stuck at this point but followed your hint about updating
and managed to pass through the door after setting the statues.
However now that I've fought through that section and through to the
guardian I can beat him there. But no gate or portal. I noticed that
partway through the guardian battle that a red pentagon kinda flashes
but nothing happens when the fight is over. Did this 3 times and every
timed the red pentagon flash comes before the guardian is dead. I have
updated to vers 1.62...
is this another bug? How do I get to the lost souls guy?
