[SOLVED] Horizontal bar in middle of monitor

Hey there. This started appearing out of nowhere while I was playing. I didn't punch the monitor or anything. The monitor is a 60hz and I've been using it since 2016. I believe the cables are as old too.

Is it like that in bios?

Are you sure its the monitor and not the GPU? That is what you need to figure out, do you have another monitor you can test or another PC?

No I don't have some extras. I do have a tv but would that work? Also got a laptop if its possible to use that as a monitor. I'll update you in a little to see if it's in bios. I mean, it happens when the pc is off so I believe it must happen in bios.

If its always on the screen its likely a dying monitor.

Well, I never turn off my monitor. Even after turning off my pc I leave the monitor on. I know I'm a lazybone. After I turn off my pc then bar is still there in the monitor. My pc is completely off, the monitor isn't.

I disconnected the vga cable and it was still there. I left the power one plugged in and the bar was still there. I'm guessing the monitor is the culprit, correct?

I haven't seen monitors die before, my only one that did stopped turning on. Looks like a dead panel.
