Hi, For a while now i have been looking for help on an issue i am having with an LED monitor i bought. This issue never happened on crt monitors.I connect using a VGA cable as that is the only port it has. Ever since i got it i have been having a problem where anything dark displayed on the screen you can see a horizontal wave/flicker pattern. The problem is shown in this video- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFN5gy2BY_w [Not mine] If you look closely you can see almost a static like wave pattern appearing all over the dark areas of the screen. People have suggested changing the plug sockets to each be plugged in their own sockets[instead of both in an extension cable] which in all honesty helped a little bit but it is still annoyingly noticeable. Oddly when i open certain games the flickering gets just as bad as it was before i switched sockets as well, so it isn't really fixed at all.
I also noticed that before i separated the power cables whenever the computer was doing anything.[say moving a file] the screen would flicker. even on colors it didn't usually happen on.
I am hoping someone can help me with this as i've had the problem for a month or so now and have yet to find a fix.
-Saw this as a suggestion, would it work?-
Try starting the PC up normally and once booted, abruptly hit the restart button. On the first screen shown as the computer reboots, abruptly hit the power button (not restart), and quickly hit the power button again to start the computer up. This isn't a permanent solution and isn't good for your PC's health if done a lot, but it solves the problem temporarily
-Things i have tried-
Upgrading/downgrading graphic drivers.
