Hi, I'm having a problem where I can see faint horizontal lines going up and down the screen. It's hard to describe them, they are white/translucent but faint and are more noticeable on the lower half of the screen. I've had this problem for a few months (maybe since I built my PC but I don't remember noticing this at the start).

When I connect my old PC to the same monitor, I don't have this problem so the monitor is fine. I've been using integrated graphics up till today and installed a HD 7850 today and the problem still exists so I don't think it's a GPU problem. I also removed the case thinking it might be static but that didn't help.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? Could it be a PSU issue? My PSU is XFX 650W. Will greatly appreciate any help. Thanks!

Could be a refresh rate issue. Check that the refresh rate on your system matches that of the monitor (typically 60hz or 59hz).

Thanks for the reply :) System and monitor refresh rates are set to 60Hz. Also, I'm using VGA since my monitor only supports VGA. Maybe it's to do what that...
