Horizontal Lines running across monitor

Hi, I recently picked up the viewsonic xq2401 and straight out of the box there is horizontal lines running across the screen, they seem to be grey but are always there in game and on the desktop. Should I return my current monitor?? The lines only appear when I turn it to 144hz.

Do you have an older monitor to test that the lines are not generated by your graphics card? If a different monitor does NOT have the lines, then the issue would be with the new monitor. If it is the monitor, then, of course RMA it.

yea you should return it as it could be a fault what gpu have you got
