So right now, I'm not sure what to do. To put things into perspective, I recently started getting random popping noises when playing audio. I would also get the occasional buzz. This happens say once every 5-10 seconds, and is extremely annoying. It has also just started happening in my games too (fullscreen application). I've tried updating the drivers, uninstalling & reinstalling, remove my Yeti Pro Mic, try different audio devices (playback devices), lower the format, windows troubleshoot, used the windows audio driver, disabled enhancements, and even tried uninstalling and reinstalling chrome (this happens in all browsers btw and for some reason audacity when I try to record a commentary). Is there anything I could do before I consider an RMA? Thanks!

PSU: EVGA G2 Gold 850W
Motherboard: MSI X99s Gaming 7
Mic: Blue Yeti Pro
Headset: Astro A40
Other playback devices: Blue Yeti playback, Astro Mixamp, (and back panel ports ofc)

Solution
Could be electrical interference, a poor connection, or a failing headset. Make sure the plugs are clean and seated fully in the ports. Make sure the cord isn't running by lots of other electrical cords and check the cord for fraying/damage.

If you try the headset on a phone/mp3 player and still hear popping, the problem was probably the headset. If none of that works, try a different port on your PC, try the front, the back, also if your mobo has HD audio, try the older plug option (check your manual).

Try a different headset on the computer. If none of that works, it's probably your audio chip on board receiving electrical interference, which there is no fix to, you would have to get an external sound card or digital audio option...

I'm currently using an External USB sound card and it got rid of my popping noises and made recording voice perfect, no mic hiss.

Thanks. I'm giving you best solution since anyone facing similar problems will benefit greatly from this thread. Several hours ago I managed to solve it by doing a bios update, which I didn't expect to work, because the change logs didn't mention audio. Thanks anyway 😀
