I have been trying to get Nvidia Gamestream to work without success, sometimes it runs flawlessly for 5 mins before the input lag starts and continues to degrade until it takes 2 seconds between hitting a button on my Shield controller and the action to take place on my Shield Tablet (Connected to my HDTV Via HDMI).

I don't know what the issue is and toying with my wifi settings either makes no difference or makes things worse, NEVER improving anything.

Is this the Router (It is listed as gamestream ready) or has Nvidia screwed the pooch again by adding more bugs in their forced Geforce Experience updates (Damn I wish I could try older versions to find out but NO!!! Geforce Experience has to update and won't run untill it gets updated!!!!)

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

My Specs:

Nvidia Shield 32Gb Tablet + 2x Wireless Controllers + Nvidia Shield Portable
Telstra NBN Broadband (100Mbps D / 40Mbps U)
ASUS RT-AC68U Dual Band Router with Gigabit Switch.

ASUS z97-K Motherboard
Intel i7-4790k@ 4.0-4.4Ghz
Noctua NH-L12 Air Cooler
32Gb Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400 DDR3 RAM
Gigabyte Geforce GTX970 G1 gaming with Windforce Cooler, Backplate and 4Gb GDDR5 RAM
Latest Nvidia Display drivers (Using DDU first when updating)
Latest Geforce Experience (Forced to be up to date or it won't start)
over 10Tb storage (WD Caviar HDDs)
Logitech F-710 Wireless controller
Logitech G710+ Gaming Keyboard
Logitech G502 Proteus Core customizeable Gaming mouse with 8 buttons
Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Flightstick
ASUS VG278 27" 3D Monitor 120Hz with Nvidia 3D vision 2 (3D Disabled for OpenGL and when troubleshooting)

Fractal Design Define XL R2 Full tower case (side panel removed to reduce heat)

I have drastically reduced the input lag by tweaking the router. (I am new to non Stock-Standard Routers and found these settings from trial and error).

In 5Ghz Genreal: (Basic WiFi Settings)

Wireless Mode: N/AC mixed (Optimized for Xbox checked)
Channel Bandwidth: 80Mhz
Control Channel: 161 (If that channel is congested by neighboring 5Ghz WiFi's switch to an uncongested channel)
Extension Channel: Auto (Auto is the only setting on my RT-AC68U Router and cannot be changed)
Authentication Method: WPA2-Personal
WPA Encryption: AES
Protected Management Frames: Disable
Network Key Rotation Interval: 3600

WPS: Disabled

In 5Ghz Professional: (Advanced WiFi Settings)

Enable Radio: Yes
Enable Wireless scheduler: No
Set AP Isolated: No
Roaming Assistant: Enable (Disconnect clients with RSSI lower than -70dBm)
Enable IGMP Snooping: Enabled
Multicast Rate(Mbps): OFDM 54
Preamble Type: Short
Fragmentation Threshold: 2346
AMPDU RTS: Enable
RTS Threshold: 2347
DTIM Interval: 3
Beacon Interval: 100
Enable TX Bursting: Enable
Enable WMM: Enable
Enable WMM No-Acknowledgement: Disable
Enable WMM APSD: Disable
Optimize AMPDU aggregation: Disable
Optimize ack suppression: Disable
Airtime Fairness: Disable (Enable if more than one device is on 5Ghz band at one time)
802.11ac Beamforming: Enable
Universal Beamforming: Enable
TX power adjustment: 100%

UPnP has been disabled for security purposes and Manual Port-Forwarding has been enabled with all Gamestream ports (Both TCP & UDP) forwarded for both pc and shield (Plus Plex on pc and shied as well as Steam on pc)

QoS has Been Enabled (Standard NOT Adaptive) and ALL Gamestream TCP & UDP ports are set to highest priority with Plex as high priority and others as medium-low priority.

My GTX970 Display drivers are the latest and both Shield Hub and GFE are also at latest BETA versions. This has helped (Especially with the Shield Hub crashes). Although my bandwidth dropped from 24Mbps to 22Mbps performance has increased. I set in Shield hub 1080p@60 and set the Mbps to either AUTO or 20Mbps, depending on the game.

IPv6: Enabled
Connection Type: Native
DHCP-PD: Enabled
IPv6 LAN settings: Default (my network is wireless and I have not set up a LAN network)
Connect to DNS Server automatically: Disable (My ISP has NO IPv6 DNS Servers so This is Disabled)
IPv6 DNS Server 1: 2001:4860:4860::8888 (Primary DNS)
IPv6 DNS Server 2: 2001:4860:4860::8844 (Secondary DNS)
Ipv6 DNS Server 3: Blank (Could not find a Google Public Tertiary IPv6 Server)
(IPv6 DNS servers are Google Public DNS Servers as my Australian ISP only has IPv4 DNS Servers)

This works for me on Australian NBN (100Mbps Download + 40Mpbs Upload)

The Input Lag issue has once again reared it's ugly head BIG TIME. on D3D games it starts of flawless but the input lag progressively creeps in rendering the game unplayable in 10 mins. Pausing the game or having it idling in menu makes the input lag hit hard.

OpenGL Games are unplayable right from the start leaving very sore thumbs if 5 mins of play are attempted.

Nvidia Screwed the Pooch AGAIN. (I bet the OpenGL issues are deliberate though as they Hate OpenGL)
