I'm getting insane micro stutters in the only game I play right now Fortnite. I play for money and for a game or two i'm fine then out of no where my games are almost unplayable. Micro stutters for like 3 seconds at a time, game runs fluidly then skip, skip, skip i'm dead. I've even bought an SSD because I didn't have one and re-installed windows along with everything else on it and the problem still persist. I have 3 monitors if for some reason that's causing it? When I game I only have Spotify, Chrome and Discord open but my computer should be able to handle way more than that. I've also checked my temps mid gaming and everything is fine other than my GPU is a little high but nothing crazy. I'm about to lose my mind I don't know what to do anymore. I run the game over 200 FPS all the time except when i'm fucking micro stuttering.. Please help me!

Also my pc specs:
GTX 1080 FTW
i7 7700k 4.2 ghz not overclocking
8gb DDR4

I don't play Fortnite but id like to try help you out and suggest some things, maybe might stem other ideas or venture into other possibilities or search ideas.

Not sure what version Fortnite is up to but have seen posts from around July this year (2018) regarding high memory usages since 4.5 update i think it was. People with 8gb, 16gb, 32gb were are having trouble where the game would continuously write data to the point ram is offloading to the pagefile, not sure if this memory leak has been addressed yet. Someone suggested closing Chrome and also recording ingame. But i imagine recording is part of your game play with Fortnite.

Other suggestions to look at is disable Xbox gamebar dvr. If this is on it records automatically and if...

Other suggestions to look at is disable Xbox gamebar dvr. If this is on it records automatically and if you're using fortnite's own recording you'll have two recordings going at once.

Win10's fullscreen optimisation can also cause problems sometimes. This is usually disabled when Gamebar is turned off but the actual option for it is in the game's exe compatibility tab. Disabling fullscreen opt just makes it run game in true fullscreen rather than borderless fullscreen.

Check your memory and pagefile activity using msi afterburner

My memory is always at like 80% or higher at all times maybe that is the issue, but that's ridiculous anyways.
