Question Horrible performance with new upgrades (PC NOOB) help needed

Hi,

Have recently had a couple new components fitted but have found performance on games to be unplayable on some (fallout 76) and just flat out stuttery and bad on other (bf1, bf5, destiny 2, division, fortnite (yea yea))

I'm a complete noob to all this, but I'd like to get it sorted.

I have an rx 570 4gb and i5 4590 and 8gb ram . As for the rest, I'd have to find out upon request!

If anyone is free to lend a small hand I'd really appreciate it as it's driving me mad.

That's a decent set of components. Which components are new? Did you completely uninstall the old videocard drivers, then install the new videocard drivers? This is assuming the 570 is new.

Hi, yes completely uninstall, I used that DDU program (think thats the name) - the 570 is brand new, CPU is second hand

Yes, but that have free tests. Both firestrike and timespy are free. You only need to pay to upgrade or customize the tests. You can download the demo on steam or direct from 3dmark.
