Hosed HDD

I've mangled my HDD's partitions to the point that partition magic can no longer make any sense of them -- it gives up and craps out when I start it. I've backed up all the data from the one partition I can still access -- how do I blow away everything (partitions, data, file systems, et al) and start over from scratch? I don't want a tool that will only wipe the first primary partition.

run fdisk and delete the partitions and then repartion and format as needed
