Yay! Now I just have to figure out how to do this. Maybe later this week.
On a good note, Bell/Sympatico are finally sending someone out to see what
the problem is with my highspeed.

The 26th of January Bell fixed my phone and said that I would be on dialup
for 4 days - a week max. But somehow it still isn't fixed, and Bell said I
had to deal with Sympatico, and Sympatico has a very long check list that
you have to go through in order for *them* (it is an internal # that we
can't call) to call Bell (who is in charge of the phone lines that
Sympatico uses) to come out and fix the damn box on the outside of the
house.

In all fairness, I first called Sympatico on a Friday, they aren't available
on weekends, and then my computer had problems and didn't work for 10 days.
So that is about 2 weeks, I gave them 2 weeks to fix the problem before
calling.

Silly people. Here is a link that may help clear it up a bit:

http://spankaroonietwo.com/archives/2005/02/04/removal-of-ads-in-ie/

In a nutshell, PCs that connect to the internet do not "instinctively"
know what address www.neopets.com is assigned to...they need to be
told. That is generally the function of a DNS (domain name services)
server, but one can override DNS by using a HOSTS file.

If DNS says ads.blindme.com is at a valid address, your browser will
connect to that address and throw the ugly ad in your face. If you
have an entry in your HOSTS file that says ads.blindme.com is actually
on your own PC (127.0.0.1), you will not only never see the ad, your
PC will not even try connecting to the internet to find it.

There are some quite good web sites out there that deal with HOSTS and
the following one seems to me to be quite good.

http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm
