Hot CPU?

I just installed my sabertooth z77 and my i5 3570 is now showing a steady 34-35c just in bios, before it was 27 idle.. Did I really do something wrong?

Also my CPU stock fan is running under 1300, I swear on my old mobo it was a log higher, but I can't seem to raise it not matter what I do. Thank you in advance

That is a little high but you are using a stock cooler and it is far from dangerous. I would get a good aftermarket cooler, a Hyper 212 would be fine. What type of case do you have? The Hyper 212 is pretty big and won't fit in all cases.

It's the stock intel cooler, I can over clock with my CPU, just how it booted up as. When ever I open speed fan (usually how I change my fan speeds. Ip the CPU fan starts at 30 where as on my other mobo is was 100 all the time

No no no no no no no no no no NO. It's usually a poor choice to control fans via programs in your OS - do it through the BIOS, or through manually overvolting it via adapters.
EDIT: With the thermal paste, you completely cleaned the stock cooler & processor of the original paste?

Arctic sliver 5 and yes I even bought the cleaning kit. I used q tips and a paper towel. Not the best choices but I didn't have much to choose from. What rpm should a stock intel fan run at?

Yes you can overclock a "k" series with the stock cooler but it is not a good idea. Stock heatsinks are just good enough they can cool a CPU at stock settings but can't handle the extra heat generated from overclocking.

I remember mine was at least 2,000 on my old mobo. What am I missing 🙁

Nope same case it was a asrock 75m bgs same cooler as before lol. Nothing has changed but the mobo

O I thought you did have the unlocked version of the I5. Do you have a NZXT Phantom? If so I just looked it up and the Hyper 212 will fit s you can see from the picture below. I would try that and see if your temps are better.

That one looks a tad different on the inside, but it only looks longer. Worst comes to worst ill get the fan, I know it's only 30 but I'd like to use my computer tonight worry free haha.

After the bios up date it went up to 37c... Wtf... Should I just redo the paste? Cause I cannot change the CPU fan speed

Well I got to change the CPU fan temps, but apparently I did something wrong. It boots in too auto repair. I'm really done messing with it, I'll be going to geek squad in the morning for them to redo the thermal paste and fix the issue. It's all free for me, so why not? Haha

Bios updated correctly, or from what I could tell. I was able to change some things, but after setting the CPU fan to manual and then trying to keep it running at max ( which turns out to be 2198 rpm) it lowered the CPU to 35 instead of the 37 it was reading. Like I said I'm just gonna take it in.

EDIT:

Testing my luck, I did a performance test, passed very well, then I booted up far cry 3 the temp jumped to 39c fast then dropped to 28c now it's sitting at 35c steady.. I there a sensor misreading or what?
