What major problems might occur if one uplugs the ps2 keyboard
while the system is on? and then reconnecting?

thanx!
:)

well i asked that ... but i usually do that a lot 😉, is the danger of burning the ps2 port that high? I never burned a ps2 port ... 😉

Please try and keep a count of the number of times you get by with it
and let us know the count of the last one.

Zap. One day it works, the next day it doesn't.

Your computer won't redetect the keyboard. I had this problem with a poorly designed system switch (KVM switch I think their called) one time.

You're posting in a forum with class. It may be third class, but it's still class!

I used to do that when I was in University. Sometime the computer keyboard does not response and I have unplug it and plug it back in to get it working.

i used to have probs, with older ps/2 boards (pentium and pentium II's) i always envied the macs for their hot pluggable keyboard and mouse... now i've never had a prob with ps/2 ports, though everything's strictly usb now.
