Hotel Wifi Issues

I am using a laptop with Ubuntu, in a hotel in SF. There are 2 routers near my room.

I alternate between the 2 routers, usually getting 4 out of 5 bars (or arcs, in the image).

I get a download speed of 35 MBps, but many pages are slow to load. I keep getting dropped form Live Chat on dreamhost.com.

Is it because there are a lot of people?

Can I fix this?

I am not sure how to do it in Ubuntu, but you need to force your NIC to stay connected to only one of the access points.
