Looking to set up wifi in my hotel, with a single connection is it possible... When I reached to the isp he tells me to take 3 diff connections for each floors... Is it really necessary or is there any way to do with a single connection

Solution
You can give all access points the same SSID and encryption key. It doesn't hurt anything. Guest devices should then connect automatically to the strongest signal. Assuming everything is wired up right. You could have all floors connecting to a single high speed internet connection.

Although depending on the size of your hotel. You may want a professional networking company out to setup a network with something like Ubiquity access points in the ceilings and isolate your network from guest devices. Plus you may need something like a load balancing router and QoS to balance traffic and have a fail safe if one ISP goes down.

That depends on area you need to cover and whether it's even possible/legal to turn up the signal to use a single connection, and definitely not a good idea if you have close neighbors. Ubiquiti is one company often heard for business installations, if ur lucky they may have some sort of DIY documentation should you not want to call a Pro.

"Hotel" means many different things. How many rooms per floor? What ar the dimensions and construction materials? Can you run ethernet cables from each floor to a central location?
How much bandwidth is available from a single connection to the ISP? The recommendation for three connections may be because of max bandwidth available.
